At Ascend, we believe your data belongs to you. Our backend architecture is deliberately designed to collect only the bare minimum information required to operate our software, validate your subscription, and prevent abuse.
§ 2. What We Collect & Why
- Account Identities: We store your Discord ID, email, and username. This links your active subscription to your identity and grants secure access to our web dashboard.
- Hardware Validation (HWID): We generate a unique hardware profile of your machine. This ensures our software is strictly used on authorized devices and actively prevents unauthorized license sharing.
- Financial Privacy: Ascend does not process, capture, or store any sensitive payment data. All transactions are securely routed through our certified merchant provider.
§ 3. Game Data Isolation
Unlike traditional cloud platforms, Ascend is engineered with local-first security. Your game login credentials, active sessions, and configuration files are processed strictly on your local computer. They are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on our servers under any circumstances.
§ 4. Edge Security & Cookies
We utilize encrypted session cookies strictly to maintain your dashboard login state. Additionally, we employ Cloudflare Turnstile and strict IP-based rate limiting to protect our servers from malicious botnets. As part of this zero-trust security model, connection metadata (such as IP addresses) may be temporarily processed by Cloudflare at the network edge.
§ 5. Your Right to Erasure
You maintain full control over your digital footprint. Should you wish to permanently delete your Ascend account, wipe your HWID registry, and purge your data from our systems, simply open a support ticket in our official Discord.
